The Office of the Vice President for Research, Scholarship, and Creative Endeavors invites you to a two-part workshop on “Planning and Writing Successful Grant Proposals.”
Presented by Dr. Peg AtKisson of the AtKisson Training Group, this comprehensive workshop will focus on developing competitive research grant proposals for major funders across all disciplines, from the STEM fields to the arts and humanities. Appropriate for PIs seeking new training or a thorough refresher, the seminar will address strategies for writing effectively, developing specific proposal sections, and understanding the review process. Upon completion of the workshop, each participant will receive an in-depth handbook that can be used as a post-event companion to the grant writing process.
This two-part workshop will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, 1 to 5 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 31, 8 a.m. to noon.
Light refreshments, including breakfast on 1/31, will be served, but lunch will be on your own.
Registration Details: Registration is restricted to UT Austin faculty and staff with Principal Investigator (PI) status seeking research funding. Students, post-doctoral fellows, and research assistant staff are ineligible to register. Registration is free of charge, but is non-transferable, and there will be a $65 no-show fee for registrants who do not personally attend this event on both days.
Cancellations will not be accepted after 1/20/25.
